In the heart of the enchanting rolling meadows, resided a young shepherd. His being was untarnished, and unsophisticated. His primary duty was to look after his herd of rams.
Their soft bleating and the whispering of the breezes through the single tree on the hilltop were his constant associates. Day after day, guarding his charges imbued in him a feeling of quiet fulfillment.
However, there were occasional moments of loneliness, when the shepherd boy would pine for check here company. In one such instance because of sheer tedium, the shepherd boy orchestrated a mischievous plan.

One morning he dashed into the village shouting “Wolf! A wolf is attacking my sheep!” The frightened villagers ran up the hills to help but found nothing threatening.
The boy laughed at the confusion on their faces. This trick laughed for a few more days. But, one morning, a real wolf actually come to prey the herd. The shepherd boy ran for help, shouting “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one came.
Frustrated and alone, the boy battled against the wolf but managed to rescue only few of his flock. Heartbroken, he went back to the village only to be met with a lesson on honesty and the results of crying wolf.
The story of this shepherd boy has been handed down generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the importance of honesty, the implications of dishonesty and the dangers of false alarms. Moreover, it emphasizes how trust once lost, is hard to earn back. It's a story as relevant today as it was then.
